1.3 common LED electrical performance parameters
(1) LED forward voltage. Different color LEDs have different forward voltage drop values under rated forward current conditions, red and yellow: between 1.8V and 2.5V, green and blue: between 2.7V and 4.0V. For LEDs of the same color, the forward voltage drop and light intensity are not exactly the same.
(2) The rated operating current of the LED. The rated current of LEDs is different. The average LED current is generally 20mA, and the high-power LED current is generally 40mA or 350mA. Specifically, it should be selected according to the current parameter values provided by each package factory. Generally, the LED has a reverse current of IR=10A under the condition of reverse voltage VR=5V.
(3) The power of the LED. LED power is also different, there are 70mW, 100mW, 1W, 2W, 3W, 5W, etc., so it is necessary to design a reasonable use of the circuit and configure the appropriate number of LEDs according to the selected LED, so that it fully meets the LED power supply. Rating.
1.4 Temperature characteristics
(1) The soldering temperature of the LED should be below 250, and the soldering time should be controlled between 3s and 5s. Care should be taken to avoid damage to the chip due to excessive LED temperature.
(2) The brightness output of the LED is inversely proportional to the temperature. The temperature not only affects the brightness of the LED, but also affects its lifetime. In use, try to reduce the heat of the circuit and do some heat treatment.
